Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie, who was born on November 24, 1981, is an American political commentator. She was previously a presidential hopeful, as an American television host at MSNBC as well as a regular contributor to The Huffington Post, former host and co-host of The Hill's Rising along with Saagarenjeti. Enjeti and Ball have made it clear they were leaving the show at the end of May in 2021. They planned to launch their own independent project called Breaking Points. Ball is a cohost of the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has also appeared as a guest on various networks, including CNN, CNBC, Fox News as well as programs like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball got married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball attributes her further political interest due to her experience as pregnant during the 2008 presidential primaries, and watching the outcome of the 2008 US presidential election during her time in Jordan. She observed how it affected the people in that country and gained an appreciation for US politics' global impact. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional District in 2010. She was defeated by Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. From June 2012 through July 2015, she was co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC. She launched the People's House Project in May 2017 to promote Democratic causes.
